Fast, Reliable Queuing with PostgreSQL

Details
Happy 2015! Due to the planning for PGConf US 2015, our team has been very busy, but to make up for the lack of a January meetup, we are planning to do two in February!
We are going to kick the 2015 NYCPUG year off with Chris Hanks of Pathgather talking about "Fast, Reliable Queuing with PostgreSQL"
For many developers, the relational database is a "poor man's job queue" - a choice you make when you want something working quickly rather than working well. But for those of us who properly value data integrity and reliability, PostgreSQL's robust ACID guarantees and expansive feature set give it a distinct advantage over other RDBMSes and even dedicated queuing systems. In this talk we'll discuss some problems that go away (and some that don't) when you entrust your job queue to PostgreSQL.
Join Chris and NYCPUG on February 3, 2015 at 6:30pm at the offices Work-Bench! As per usual, our agenda is:
6:30PM - Meet, Greet, and Network
6:50PM - Intro and Chris' Presentation
8:00PM - Grab a (Root) Beer or beverage of your choice with the Group (Location TBD)
