PRANALISA YOGA: Summer SOULtice Newsletter

Hello everyone and namaste.   Welcome to all the new members to my meetup group as well as those who have been coming to classes for a while.  It's been quite some time since I've sent out a newsletter, and I hope this one finds you healthy and happy.

Check out my full schedule at www.pranalisa.com to see the various options.  From gentle yoga classes to the more work out power classes, whether you are recovering from an injury, in your senior years, an avid athlete, or would love to bring your tween or teenager, I offer classes to accommodate.  Also know that many regular students do not RSVP on the meetup, so while it may appear to have no one signed up, class is always ON unless it says otherwise.

I am a holistic nutritionist and educator and am hoping to incorporate with yoga with some classes in the near future.  Also, after the recent chakra workshop in June which was so well attended, Janet and I will be offering another chakra balancing workshop the end of July.  So stay tuned for details.

CLASS RATES  I believe that everyone who wants to practice yoga should be able to practice...I also believe that most of us do what we truly find important to do...that becomes our priority.  The economy has been challenging for us all....so I offer great class card specials (see below), barter opportunities, and low drop in rates.  I have 3 weekly classes that are only $7/class, and anyone that takes 2 classes in a one week (sun-sat) period gets the 2nd class for only $5. No money, no problem...do you have a service or item that you'd like to trade for classes?  I'm open to your ideas and offers!

OUTDOOR YOGA!!  SATUDAY MORNING Challenging Vinyasa Flow Class is 9am and located in Olmstead Park  Like last year, the class is in the sweet little park in front of the Self Discovery Center at the corner of Springdale and Ponce de Leon Ave.  GPS can be wonky when trying to find it, so I recommend simply using a map or going to my meetup page for the directions.  It's actually quite simple: it is a block away from the intersection of Moreland Ave. & Ponce de Leon Ave.   Each week by around Thursday, Friday at the latest, if the weather forecast shows rain or storms, I will update calendar to cancel class.  Remember, even if the weather is overcast, class is ON unless stated otherwise on my calendar!

All my classes are open to ages 12 and up, and my gentle and family classes are open to ages 8 and up.  If you want to bring a young student to class who is younger than my guidelines, email or call me to discuss...I will make exceptions if appropriate.

Yoga is a truly super way to stay fit as well as to reduce stress, find focus, get grounded, and as an overall way to round at anyone's holistic approach to health and vitality.  While I am not a fan of promoting yoga as a "quick weight loss" or "fat blasting" workout, i can say that for me, adopting a regular, dedicated practice of yoga has enabled me to quiet my mind, and become more aware of what adds to or takes away from my overall feeling of well being.  And yes, I am slim and lost excess weight and fat.  And I am calmer.  And less reactive.  And more focused.  And I eat healthier.  It's all so interconnected, and yoga is a huge piece of the puzzle that keeps me in shape inside and out.

In case you missed it...here's an article I wrote for Elephant Journal last year which will tell you a little more about me, in case you're interested.

CLASS PRICES...drop in rates are an affordable $7-$10/class depending on which class, and class cards are available for $50 and 95.  $90 includes unlimited classes for 1 person for one month.  $90 includes unlimited classes  for one person for 2 months OR TWO persons for 1 month.  So bring a friend and sign up if you'd like...  If you have a family of 3 or more, just contact me and we can work out a fair price so you can all attend.

BUY A $90 CLASS CARD NOW IN JUNE AND HAVE UNLIMITED CLASS ACCESS UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST!!  THAT'S 7 WEEKS OF CLASSES...CHECK OUT THE CALENDAR FOR MY CURRENT CLASS OFFERINGS.

Please...Do NOT let money be a factor regarding your yoga practice...I am all about CREATIVE FINANCING ...ie...BARTER!!  I can always use some help with mowing the lawn and some basic lawn care, and I also trade for services such as cleaning, house maintenance, computer help, massage, reflexology, body work and even yoga classes....ALSO....SIX MONTH and YEAR CLASS CARDS are AVAILABLE...just ask.

Remember...ALL bodies are welcome in my classes...there is a class for you...I'm here if you need guidance.

Thanks for your support and kindness and positive energy. I truly lived a blessed life to be able to spend so much of it on or near the yoga mat!

Stay in touch and please share my links with friends who may be interested in yoga.
