The class was not really what I was expecting from the description...but it was far better! Randy mentioned an upcoming "Level 2" sequel to this class; looking forward to it!

Randy's class on Becoming a Portraitist was totally worth the time and investment. Randy is an accomplished photographer and artist, who loves to share his passion about photography with everyone there. He didn't bury us with too many technicalities, though he did cover many, but shares a more holistic approach toward portraiture and photography in general. He helps us to step back and picture how light and its qualities are ever changing, and teaches us how to anticipate these changes to create the best portraits. No question is too simple, and he invited us to take shots with our own cameras to see how different lighting in the studio brings different effects and emotional impact. A great class.
    Thanks, Randy!

The class and instructor is a NOT TO BE MISSED class. So great to meet Randy Kerr, the instructor. He knows his stuff, considering all his personal and profession in photography. Listening to Kerr thought process and how he approaches photography is insightful.

Love the new classroom and store! Second class with Randy. Third if you count Lightcamps. Randy has a passion and vast knowledge of photography. He is an excellent teacher and fields all questions without making anyone feel inferior if they don't know fstops. I look forward to taking another class with Randy and seeing him at PCU.
