Walk and team up, then prototype

For the first time in the history of hackathons world-wide, we're embedding health deep into the hacking experience.

We'll start at the base of Mount Royal, and team up with one another while walking up the mountain. You arrive at the hacking destination with a team and a good idea worth prototyping.

Nous débutons à la base du Mont-Royal, au Parc Jeanne-Mance et formons des équipes ensemble autour de thèmes à discuter lorsque nous montons la montagne. Arrivés au grand chalet en haut de la montagne, nous aurons réfléchi à une bonne idée de projet.
Pourquoi marcher?Nous sommes plus créatifs dans la nature. Quand nous marchons, l’hémisphère gauche de notre cerveau se consacre à notre déplacement. Cela permet à notre hémisphère droit de se consacrer à des réflexions non structurées et créatives. C’est une occasion d'interaction sociale et c’est bon pour votre santé. C’est une promenade avec l’intention d’identifier ensemble des idées et de les prototyper le même jour au chalet sur la montagne. Quand avez-vous pris votre dernière promenade dans la nature?

Pourquoi un atelier de prototypage? Nous faisons des prototypes pour répondre à des questions sur nos projets, «Sommes-nous sur la bonne voie?", "Est-ce que les clients vont vraiment utiliser notre produit?" Le défi est d'apprendre aussi vite que possible, et de fermer la boucle concevoir-mesurer-apprendre. En travaillant avec d’autres, il est plus facile de se sortir d’une impasse. L’évaluation par les pairs simule les commentaires de clients éventuels.

Comment fonctionne-t-il ce ProtoHack?Vous n’avez besoin que de papier et de crayons pour débuter. Par la suite des prototypes numériques sont développés. Vous utiliserez des outils de prototypage, des éditeurs de patrons simples, des maquettes, des représentations filaires et tout ce qui peut vous aider à faire la présentation visuelle de votre idée.

Vous pouvez former une équipe avec d'autres participants et décider ensemble le projet sur lequel vous voulez travailler. Vous produisez des prototypes et vous donnez votre avis à d'autres équipes. Rappelez-vous, vous créez prototypes: ils n'ont pas besoin d'être parfaits. Et, l'exercice ProtoHack ne nécessite pas de codage informatique.‎
