February 2016 - Creating Images with AutoDMG

Details

Computer imaging is a popular way to deploy computers but how you create the image can be cumbersome and time consuming.

Meetup member Dale Ribeiro will walk us through the pros and cons of traditional image creation and how the open source application AutoDMG can save time and produce a better image, along with a live demo and Q&A.

AutoDMG (https://github.com/MagerValp/AutoDMG/releases), an open source project led by Per Olofsson, is a simple way to create an OS X image with a GUI using just the OS X installer, without having to capture an image from a physical computer.

Beer/drinks and venue space are provided by Swipely with pizza provided by JAMF Software.

Dale Ribeiro is a Client Systems Engineer at Northeastern University in Boston, MA where he helps to manage an environment of over 1,200 Macs. Dale resides in the Providence area and has over 10 years of experience supporting Apple hardware, software, and services.

We're on our regular schedule now. Meetups will be 5:30-7:30PM to allow time for networking (and parking) before the presentation at 6:30PM.
