Learning Bayesian networks with R – Prof. Renan Mercuri Pinto

Abstract: Understanding the causal architecture underlying biological systems has a great value for the development of optimal management strategies. So far, most studies use only prior knowledge to propose causal models, fact that may hide important relation among variables. In this talk, I present some Bayesian networks (BN) structural learning algorithms available in the R package "bnlearn", which can be used along with prior knowledge in order to investigate the causal architecture, and illustrate their applications with real-world examples.
