Come and join us! All levels welcome! No martial arts experience necessary!
All you need is a desire to learn, be open-minded, respect to fellow practitioners and have fun.
First class is always FREE!
We have no rankings in our training group. Our focus is on personal development and competency of technical skills. Please check regularly our meetup calendar for the training program, date and time that is scheduled for the month.
1. Pekiti-Tirsia Kali System
The Pekiti-Tirsia Kali Doce Methodos System defines every way and manner in which a bladed weapon can be used to strike with as well as attack strikes by angle, motion or energy, weapon anatomy and manipulation. It also teaches the different ranges of combat specifically long range, close range and extreme close range. The system is grouped into 12 methods.
A practitioner will learn proper striking mechanics and basic footwork. This is the basic foundation skills necessary to be effective in the subsequent training levels.
A practitioner will train in Methods 1-6 of the Doce Methodos System. At this level, a practitioner will be learning attack strikes by angle and attack targets, counter-attacks, close range and long range principles. An intermediate level practitioner's competency will be measured upon his/her ability to execute a two-man timing drill for most of the methods.
A practitioner will train in Methods 7-12 of the Doce Methodos System. At this level, a practitioner will learn advanced methods in attacks, counter-attacks, linear multiple attacks, weapon disarms and extreme close range principles. An advanced level practitioner's competency will be measured upon his/her ability to execute a combination of the methods already learned in dynamic combat technical sparring drills.
2. Kali Defensive Tactics
Designed primarily for learning self-defense skills in a short amount of time, this training will cover defensive tactics against various angles of attack with a stick, knife and empty-hand while utilizing a few of the techniques and methods of the blade-fighting art of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali System - a Filipino Martial Art.
