"I like pit bulls because they have a better high pain
tolerance than most other dogs," Hodges says.

Meetup Members,

We discovered The Bully Depot (8417 W 8 Mile Rd, Detroit) was closed when we were updating our puppy pet store list last November. Photos just came in of the lease sign!.

We were tracking The Bully Depot when it opened in 2009 at the Gilbratar Trade Center in Taylor. The booth/store was under construction for a long time. When we finally reached them, they said they would order any puppy we would like. Secong red flag. Anyone selling puppies at a trade center is a red flag. They finally opened at the trade center in November of 2010 and were indeed selling puppies.

The 3/9/11 Metrotimes article stated they moved to 8 mile in after they learned many of their customers were coming from Detroit. The article stated “These guys gathered here breed them, train them, buy and sell them. They travel around the country to enter them in competitions that reward winning animals with ribbons, plaques and money, but also the acclaim of an underground world."

Puppy Mill Awareness does not agree with breeding dogs for retail. Why would anyone want to breed and sell pitbulls when our shelters are OVERFLOWING with pitties? This store was bad news.
