Python Atlanta Meetup

Some of us gather for dinner early between 6pm and 6:30pm, but the meeting itself gets started at 7:30pm where we share our recent experiences with Python and programming.

Beginner Python (15 min) — for newcomers, Brandon Rhodes demonstrates the first steps of writing a simple Python application.

Fighting in Unfamiliar Territory (30 min) — Toby Ho talks about how to read and fix third-party Python code for those awkward moments when you think you have found a bug in a library that you have installed for a particular project.

Squinting at Python Objects (30 min) — Brandon gives a reprise of the popular talk that he gave two weeks ago at PyOhio in Columbus.

It was definitely great to be back with other lovers of Python. I plan to be as regular as possible.

This was an interesting meetup. As always, I learned a lot about python that I didn't know or had forgotten.
