Joint Meetup

This month, we are doing a joint meetup with the sandiego.js group. Watch a presentation on copyright with regards to internet and games, and meet sandiego.js members.

Topic: Copyrights And Copywrongs For Internet Content

Content creation has become ubiquitous online, but what are the legal ramifications of using content that you find on the web? Come join San Diego's own New Media Rights and learn the basic building blocks of law surrounding video game and other digital content development. Specific topics covered will include copyright, fair use and Creative Commons.

I have just started taking a Python course at Code Academy. It says I am 24% done.
The one at Khan Academy didn't go far enough, although I expect the coverage there will grow with time.

I have a new Raspberry Pi, so I am also learning Raspbian.
(I used to do a bit of Unix while repairing Sun and SGI machines at customer sites.)

I took the Codecademy course in Python over the summer. A good intro, but I found the web-based interface quirky. Coursera is a great source for free programming classes. Intro to Interactive Prog. w/Python starts in October.
