QS Show&Tell #23 (WellnessFX in SF)

Please join us on February 23rd for another night of self-tracking presentations, sharing lessons learned, and showing tools.

We're returning to the beautiful offices of WellnessFX in San Francisco (rescheduled due to fire - thank you WellnessFX folks!). Be sure to RSVP early to grab your spot. We'll be continuing with the Ignite Plus format (Ignite talks + Q&A period) for talks. Gary Wolf will be hosting, and Ernesto Ramirez from QS San Diego is coming up again to help.

Anyone else who would like to volunteer, please write to me (Alex) at [masked].

**Also note the schedule change below, to try to help new people feel more welcome!

Think: "science fair" for adults.

If you have a self-tracking project, gadget, app, or idea you'd like to share or demo, but you don't want to get up and talk about it, the workshop hour is perfect for you.

You don't need to have a prepared talk, or permission to show something. Just come and bring what you have. Just to be clear, we save the talks for personal accounts of self-tracking and self-experimentation, rather than sales/investor pitches. But of course we are also interested in tools! If you are making something useful for self-trackers – software, hardware, web services, or data standards – please demo it in this workshop portion of the Show&Tell.

We will also be encouraging people to talk to new people they've never talked to before!

7 pm – 8:30 pm QS SHOW&TELL TALKS

If you'd like to talk about your project, please let us know in your RSVP so we can discuss your topic and how much time you'll need.

Don't know what Ignite means? Click here for more info and here for tips on how to deliver a fantastic quick-fire presentation.

8:30 - 10 pm MORE SOCIAL TIME

Talk to the speakers, chat with new and old friends, ask other people what they're tracking, and generally hang out and have fun.

A fantastic space is generously being provided by WellnessFX, and healthy food is being kindly provided by WIMM Labs! Thanks too to Intel, AutodeskBasis, and Scanadu, our annual sponsors, for supporting the Quantified Self movement expansion across the country and around the world. Six cheers to them for making our gathering possible!

We use the sponsor money to pay for professional video recording and healthy refreshments, as well as to fund projects that help the larger QS community. If you or your company are interested in sponsoring Quantified Self, please let us know.

Thank you and see you there!

Nice mix of presentations with real variety. Whole hour for mingling was a bit long but I didn't know what to expect, this was my first meeting. I'd probably go later next time. I appreciated a greeter for newbies. Good food.

Loved it! It was my first one but it surpassed my expectations with killer presentations (high quality design) and great experiments. Would've loved more commercial presence/show and tell but heard the conference will be even better!

Yes, Joe, you're totally right! I couldn't find a way for Meetup to allow attendees of a past meetup to have first priority on a new meetup, which is why I emailed fire meetup folks to give some advance warning before scheduling the meetup. Happy to refund you if that helps...

Odd to find myself on the waiting list, as I paid for the event the fire broke up and feel that people in this situation would be able to attend this session.
