Announcing a new Meetup for The Bay Area Quantified Self Meetup Group!

What: QS Show&Tell #19 (Singularity University in Mountain View)
When: Tuesday, July 19,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $5.00 per person

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Price: $5.00  per person (refund policy)

Get ready for the first Bay Area QS meetup since the blowout global conference! In case you missed it, catch the coverage on the Quantified Self Blog, in the MIT Technology Review, or join the ongoing discussion on the QSwiki.

Join us July 19th for another night of self-tracking presentations, sharing ideas, and showing tools - but this time, with a twist. Not only will we be at Singularity University* in Mountain View for the first time, but we will be doing the Show&Tell Ignite style!

Don't know what Ignite means? Click here for more info and here for tips on how to deliver a fantastic quick-fire presentation.

Stay tuned for a special announcement from Eri on the creation of a new startup-focused QS group.

* The anticipated venue is Singularity University (we are working out the details), but due to super-high demand for seats, we may need to find a larger venue! Details will be forthcoming as soon as they are available!

6 -7:30 pm SOCIAL HOUR AND WORKSHOP

Think: "science fair" for adults.

If you have a self-tracking project, gadget, app, or idea you'd like to share or demo, but you don't want to get up and talk about it, the workshop hour is perfect for you.

You don't need to have a prepared talk, or permission to show something. Just come and bring what you have. We will have tables and power strips where you can plug in a laptop if you like, but paper is good too.

Just to be clear, we save the talks for personal accounts of self-tracking and self-experimentation, rather than sales/investor pitches. But of course we are also interested in tools! If you are making something useful for self-trackers – software, hardware, web services, or data standards – please demo it in this workshop portion of the Show&Tell.

7:30 pm – 9 pm QS SHOW&TELL TALKS

If you'd like to talk about your project, please let us know in advance so we can discuss your topic and how much time you'll need.

QS SPONSORS: OUR THANKS TO SINGULARITY UNIVERSITY

A fantastic space is generously being provided by Singularity University. Thanks too to Basis, HealthTap and  CureTogether, our annual sponsors, for supporting the Quantified Self movement expansion across the country and around the world.

Three cheers to them for making our gathering possible!

QS SPONSORSHIP - WHAT IT IS

We use the sponsor money to pay for professional video recording and healthy refreshments, as well as to fund projects that help the larger QS community. If you or your company are interested in sponsoring Quantified Self, please let us know.

We are also asking for an optional $5 donation to help cover the out-of-pocket costs of running the meetups. If you'd like to donate more than $5, please do!

Thank you and see you there!

Check it out!
