Your favorite queer theory book:

"Gender Trouble" by Judith Butler I don't know that I entirely agree with all her conclusions, but she really makes you think. And while perhaps not "queer theory" as much as "queer history and literature," I adore Lilian Faderman's books (my favorite is "Surpassing the Love of Men") which were really important to me when I was growing up as a sheltered, home-schooled lesbian in a very rural, conservative Christian home.

Hey! I'm this group! I read a lot about queer theory and gender studies but never have anyone to discuss it with. I'm disabled, but I am going to school part-time (history major) and hope to eventually get my degree in gender studies.
