Radical Visions Cinema Club
We are a diverse group of Bay Area writers, translators, poets, filmmakers, grad students, scientists, teachers, and photographers who share a passionate interest in cinema and who enjoy watching and discussing challenging foreign, avant-garde, and experimental films. Our post-film conversations over coffee are a lot of fun: stimulating, wide-ranging, cultured, and always convivial.
The number of film events per month varies from one to five, with the average being two or three. The majority of events take place in San Francisco, where the group is based, but we also frequently attend films at Berkeley's Pacific Film Archive. We are always open to to new members, and all members are free to attend as frequently or infrequently as they wish. Consider joining us as we explore together the Bay Area's alternative film culture and its venues.
If by chance you also enjoy reading and discussing thought provoking literature, check out my Classic Literature and Cafes Book Club: www.meetup.com/Classic-Literature-and-Cafes/
(If you are attending for the first time and are trying to find us, look for John, the organizer, who will be wearing the brown blazer and black shirt that you see in his photo.)
