The Rails View: The Junk Drawer Grows Up

John Athayde, one of the authors of "The Rails View: Create a Beautiful and Maintainable User Experience," will be speaking at our January meetup.

Are your Ruby on Rails views suffering from cluttered code? Have they become a tangled web of HTML, logic, and who-knows-what-else?

We've reached a quite a bit of consensus on what makes clean code in our Ruby projects. However, there's not as much agreement on how to structure your Rails views. Come learn from John's expertise about how to create maintainable views, and how to leverage some tools to make working with them easier.

It was great talk and great group. I just moved from NY area and was pleasantly surprised to see the turnout and interest levels in Ruby/Rails in this area. If anyone is looking to help out a start-up in early stages, please reach out to me. I am prototyping an idea in location+social space and need help with RoR talent. thanks

Really enjoyed the talk; as an old Rails hand, it's always great to get some new ideas and concepts to chew on.
