What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

Completed NH[masked] and NEHH 2014. 7 left for Winter NH48. Now enjoy working on Trailwrights (2 left), NHHH, and NH48 4-season grid (three-fourths completed). Along the way I've taken the AMC Spring and Winter H/B courses, completed the 2013 Fall Leadership program, and completed a recent SOLO WFA course. My favorite hikes/places have been the 100 Mile Wilderness Hike, one-day Presidential Traverses, Pemigewassset Wilderness Loop backpack, Sandwich Mountains and Baxter State Park.

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

I enjoy all three.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

I very much enjoy the hiking exercise, being outdoors, and the camaraderie of other hikers. I like to both peakbag (one-day hikes), long backpacks (i.e. the 100 Mile Wilderness Hike, bushwacks, and working on various lists.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Last summer (with an 'off-duty' AMC leader and a friend hiking the AT trail in sections), we completed a 30+ mile NH AT Presidential traverse, night hiking up from Crawford Notch to Franklin Mountain, briefly sleeping, and completing the journey the next day to Pinkham Notch. We all agreed it was strenuous but still very do-able. I believe the advanced pace over a longish distance in a short period of time made it challenging.

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

Now co-lead AMC hikes and yes, after gaining more experience would be interested in leading events for the Random Hikers.

Completed NH[masked] and NEHH 2014. 7 left for Winter NH48. Enjoy working on Trailwrights (70 of 72 summited), NH48 4-season grid, and NHHH. I sure do like the exercise, views, and hiking comraderie!
