What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

Finished my 48. Have finished them all in winter by doing half of them in the[masked] season. I try to get out at least every couple weeks to keep in hiking shape. Lots of backpacking experience. Teach MLS and in April sometimes teach various topics at the NH Chapter Spring school at Cardigan.

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

Anything with a pace that isn't terribly slow and has a nice view. Backpacking to a lovely and relaxing location is superb.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

Work on the 67. Need 6 in Maine. Do NH hikes for the fun of it. I try to do different trails to favorite summits when possible. I'm pecking away at the Grid, but have a long way to go.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Did a 12 hour winter traverse of the Bonds this year. Washington & Jefferson via Ammo & Jewell in Feb was pretty strenuous. Mahoosuc Notch was a fun challenge. Did a solo backpack in Yosemite once where I learned that 12 miles in a day with a pack over 40lbs is just plain stupid.

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

NH AMC class 1 (4-season) leader.

Introduction

4 season AMC trip leader for NH Chapter. Finished my 4's, but not in winter. Working on my 67, need 6 more in Maine.
