What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

Working on my 4th round of NH[masked] footers. I'm currently working on getting my dogs their NH 48 4kers. SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW!!!!

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

I like a challenge, and I like eye candy (such as alpine zone ridge hikes in the winter). SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW!!!

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

I would like to learn how to climb steep pitches of ice wearing my slippers with dull Microspikes. I'm self employed so my schedule is flexible... if anyone wants to tackle something on a weekday please send me a message.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Half Dome - Yosemite. I've since done far more difficult hikes than Half Dome. What made Half Dome difficult was inexperience and an overestimation of my abilities (this was 2002). I thought because I rode my bike 250 miles a week, I could easily hike Half Dome. I had to log roll out of bed for the next 2 weeks. I've never been more sore due to a hike. I made it okay but my decision to do that hike reflected my inexperience and ignorance at the time.

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

Yes... wait, I already am a leader. Hey... if you're a downhill skier, message me. I need skiing buddies.

RGoH self appointed musical director, lead vocalist, and lead air-guitarist. Oh, I'm a wedding photographer too. If you're getting married check out http://www.joecia...

What Joe C. is saying about this Meetup Group

This show has an interesting cast of characters and a wonderful plot. Highly recommended. Think Seinfeld/Curb Your Enthusiasm meets Survior Man/Man vs. Wild. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll sing, you'll yadda yadda yadaa, and if you're really lucky you'll get to see Michael go for an impromptu swim in a stream, and hear Monica squeal whilst barreling down something on a ZipFy.
