What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

I am experienced in solos, expeditions, day hikes, backpacks, rock and ice climbs. I try to get out hiking or climbing every weekend, and running or cycling everyday. You can follow me on Runkeeper:

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

I prefer day hikes. I do not like to bushwhack, but I do occasionally: Henderson's Ridge, above Central Buttress after a climb.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

Moose's Tooth:'s_Tooth ; Denali (solo).

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

For me without question, Denali on summit day. 20 hours up and back, resulting in hypoxia and dehydration.

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

I have organized hikes and climbs for several Meetup groups in the past, and lead occasionally.

I've been hiking and climbing since the '80's. While I have been to many places worldwide, my heart is in the White Mountains.
