Guinness World Record Attempt with Tango Tab

2-22 SAVE THE DATE
The great folks at Tango Tab have invited us to their World Record Attempt for "Most People Making Sandwiches Simultaneously"
You may ask, "how is this a Random Act of Kindness"?
All sandwiches made are to be donated to local food charities such as; the SoupMobile, North Texas Food Bank, and Metro Relief. There will be celebrities such as NHL allstar, Mike Modano. NFL great LaDainian Tomlinson. Tony Zazza from KVIL and from the Kidd Kraddick show on KISS FM, J-Si. The folks from Guinness Book of World Records will be on hand to certify the attempt. We need over 1000 people to break the record. They request the same as with our own RAK sandwich group,

Bring 3 loaves of bread, 2 pkgs of bologna, and 2- 16 packs of sliced cheese.

Also:  Please make sure you bring Ziplock-style sandwich baggies.  Walmart store brand is fine.  Just no fold over baggies.  Please bring a squeezable container of yellow mustard AND most importantly please, please, please bring food service gloves.  You can find these at the dollar store.

Women and men with long hair will need to have it pulled back in a pony tail so that no hair gets into the food.  Thanks.

Loved the end result - giving back to the community. Breaking the record was just icing on the cake. The PA system had some issues, but overall a great event...and Table 7 ROCKED! :)

It was fun but it was a drag having to wait so long to get started once we were in place.

Thanks or organizing. Can only imagine the huge challenge you had organizing that many people, that many food products plus the strict guidelines of Guinness. Hope you had some beers afterwards.

      2 · February 24, 2014

    • Audrey N.

Hahaha... After making so many sandwiches... We went and had beer and Firehouse subs...

Could have been more organized with clear directions. The PA system was difficult to hear but it was so much fun!

    3 · February 22, 2014

    • Nick Marino J.

Hi Sherri. We do apologize about the PA. With Guinness regulations and that amount of people it is hard to make it 100% perfectly organized. Know that our team worked extremely hard on this for the past two months to pull this off and did the best that we could to make the process as smooth as possible. Hope you understand. We are glad you did have a good time.

Hi Victoria, although the Sandwiches for SoupMobile group is participating, this event is being put together with our friends at Tango Tab. They have a smartphone app that when you go out to dine and use the app, a portion of the bill goes to local charities. You should check it out
