Have you ever found yourself having an in-depth and intellectually engaging talk with someone , and at the end of it one of you says, "Wow, I have not a had a conversation like that in a long time..."? Would you like to have intellectually engaging conversations more often?

Our goal is to stimulate such discussions.

The Rational Dialogue League of Austin is not guided by any one belief system or perspective. We wish instead to have members who each have very different conceptions of the world, but who are united in a shared love of honest and careful argument.

All topics are open for discussion. Art, Literature, Politics, Philosophy, Spirituality, Psychology, Science... everything is fair game.

We are a group of people passionate about our ideas and beliefs, but who also wish to have their perspectives challenged and made more perfect by the heat of intelligent and critical discussion.

Put simply, we want to give you a forum for presenting, hearing and developing thoughts -- a chance to turn your mind on in a world that seems so hard to be trying to turn it off.
