We are very fortunate to welcome Laura Godfrey, Manager of GobiernoUSA.gov, to share GobiernoUSA.gov (http://gobiernousa.gov/)'s Experience in Reaching Hispanics Through Mobile on June 9th at 6pm in Chevy Chase, MD.

Description of Laura's Presentation:

Hispanics are more likely than non-Hispanic whites to use their phones to engage with their peers by accessing the Internet, sharing pictures and videos, sending messages, and using social networking sites. As the Hispanic population grows within the United States, these behaviors present new opportunities for the government to interact with people. Laura Godfrey's presentation will explain how GobiernoUSA.gov (http://gobiernousa.gov/) is reaching out to mobile-enabled Hispanics by building a mobile friendly version of the site.

How are Hispanics using the mobile Internet? Which segment of the Hispanic population uses mobile technology the most? What government information is particularly relevant to the Hispanic population? How does the rapidly growing Hispanic population impact governments' application of technology?
