A Message from a Local Farmer & Winter's Fare Potluck Tastings

Details
We are fortunate to have Farmer Joshua, from Indiana, present the whole sustainable farming package for us to launch the New Year. What exactly does grassfed mean? (To read about this, see https://www.eatwild.co... (https://www.eatwild.com/)) What is a sustainable farm? In what ways does it serve us and the community of small farmers? Why should we care? Farmer Joshua will offer samples of his turkey & chicken, cooked to perfection!
The February Meeting will feature a potluck table filled with winter's appealing dishes, from appetizers to meat stews and platters, to root vegetables in every version imaginable, to desserts.
We welcome your contribution of any recipe or additions listed in the Nourishing Traditions Cookbook or the Shopping Guide (appreciated but not required for attendance at this event).
For ideas of what to make to contribute look through the 'Nourishing Traditions Cookbook'. Bring something you are very comfortable making, or experiment with a 'Nourishing Traditions Cookbook' recipe, or adapt a recipe to make it a traditional-ingredient version. Please bring a pot or plate of food to feed 8-10 people and an index card with your name, the ingredients, and page number if relevant; appreciated but not required for attendance at this event.
PS If you are pressed for time, bring some organic fruits in a bowl, crispy nuts or cultured veggies.
We appreciate your rsvp, as it helps us arrange the seating. Please include your guests, and if possible the dish you have decided to make, when you rsvp.
