Global Reddit Meetup Day

Food, fun, prizes, music! Come and join all your fellow /r/indianapolis and /r/indiana meetup friends for the annual Global Reddit Meetup Day! Two years ago we had over 60 people attend this event....lets make 2015 the biggest one yet!

We have a huge shelter house rented at Southeast Way Park for the day just right on the county line between Shelby and Marion county. Only 15-20 mins from Indy. We will have a large field to play games in, shade trees to lounge under, grills going, music blasting and a slew of picnic tables to play games on. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy the afternoon with fellow Redditors!

Food/Drinks:

Please check the google document to sign up to bring a side dish, dessert and other food items! Brats, burgers, water, lemonade, paper products and condiments will be provided but we need your help to make this a great event!

Raffle:

Custom r/indianapolis Reddit gear will be raffled off at 6:00pm! Everyone who shows up will get a raffle ticket. More can be purchased with proceeds benefiting a local charity (TBD)

Fun:

Kickball, corn hole, badminton, bocce ball, card games, board games...you bring it, we will play it! Check out the google document for an up to date list of what all everyone is bringing!

Music:

Local djs will be playing hot summer jams for your enjoyment!

Cost:

$5-10 suggested entry fee. This will cover the dues for Meetup ($180 for the year), shelter rental ($120) and to cover the costs of the materials needed for the party(estimated $200). Any left over will go into our general fund for the next big party. Please bring cash or you can pay online by clicking the link above. If you pay online and find out you cannot make the event you will get a refund if you cancel more than 3 days out from the event. Thanks!

• Kid/Family Friendly

• No Alcohol kinda...it really needs to be in a plastic cup because we are going to be in a public park. I know the park ranger so I think he will leave us alone...but yeah..lets keep it cool during the day and lets party that night (we have an after party for that if you are interested..more details for that TBA! 18+)

• Pets must be on a leash...my suggestion is to leave them home for the day

• Bring a camping chair if you want somewhere else to sit besides the picnic tables

• Bring lawn games/board games if you got them

• Bring other drinks if you would like something other than water or lemonade!
