Come join us for an introduction to the current curriculum for user-centered design, usability analysis, information architecture and user experience at Florida State University’s School of Information. This presentation will be the foundation for an open conversation about current UX practices and needs within the local community.
Richard Urban joined the iSchool at Florida State University in 2011 after completing a MLIS and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His background also includes an MA in History and Museum Studies certificate from the University of Delaware. Richard's research interests are broadly concerned with representing cultural heritage collections online through quality metadata and usable interfaces. His research is informed by experience at the IMLS Digital Collections and Content Project, Collaborative Digitization Program, Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and Historical Society of Delaware.
