UX / UI Architect
State: North Carolina
Salary : $100 - $120K, willing to consider higher salary for super star candidates
This role won't be right for just anyone. For this role, the right candidate will be:
An experienced UX / UI developer. You have a bulging portfolio of killer web/mobile app interfaces and UX designs.
Visionary in UX / UI design. You need to know when it's appropriate to blaze a new trail for end users and how they consume information -- and when tried-and-proven approaches will just work.
Aesthetically motivated and focused not only on making the user experience effective but, where possible, beautiful.
Knowledgeable about emerging concepts and thought-leaders in user-centric design and data visualization
A passionate advocate for the end user who is sensitive not only to their frequent tasks and common work-flows, but empathetic to their needs around accomplishing infrequent, atypical tasks easily and intuitively
Knowledgeable of existing technologies, passionate about new technologies, and experienced to know when to recommend which ones for which jobs.
Talented, capable and comfortable in graphic design and the use of related tools (e.g., Photoshop, GIMP, etc.)
Drive design and help implement UX / UI from concept to implementation
Communicate design effectively through wireframes, mockups and prototypes
Collaborate with others, both within and outside the team, to inform, improve and validate designs
Create UX / UI guidelines, style guides, etc. as needed
Stay current with industry developments and incorporate new technology when applicable
At least 10 years of professional software development experience, with 5 years in UX / UI focused roles
At least 3 years of experience in web-based technologies
Expert-level knowledge of HTML5/CSS3
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in mobile development platforms & application UI design (iOS, Android, etc.) preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
