Baldy/Monaker Flats/Falls trailhead 11:00am-12:30pm - San Antonio Falls (1.2 miles round trip) ...12:30pm-1:00pm - Return to Douglas Residence This will be a well regulated (regularly practiced) group of everyday citizens who wish to share ideas and resources for topics related to emergency preparedness and survival techniques such as: Food Storage Water Purification and storage Emergency Shelter A Survival Mentality Gun Education, Safety and Accuracy Bartering and Precious Metals Bug Out Bag and Exit Route Cooking on the Go Campfires Outdoor Survival Techniques and many other topics Generally, the group will meet once a month for a sit-down informational meeting. We will also schedule hikes in the local San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains once or twice a month, or more frequently if you would like to lead it. This day is intended for a general introduction to the group, things that the group will cover and to hear about things you would like to learn more about. The meeting will last about an hour, then we will carpool up to Mt. Baldy for a short walk to the San Antonio Falls. The walk is 1.2 miles round trip and most of it is follows a paved road. Later meetings will schedule longer hikes on dirt trails (perhaps the following week to Cedar Glen - 4.5 miles/2.5 hours out-and-back). Feel free to bring a day pack, or your Bug Out Bag to share with others if you have one. I hope you can join us. This group can be a great combination of educational and physical fitness and will give you an edge over a majority of the population when TSHTF. Please feel free to call me anytime.
