Chicago Couples Restaurant Explorer Meetup Group Pages

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can join Chicago Couples Restaurant Explorer Meetup Group?
A: The group is open to all couples who are looking to meet and hang out with other couples. So regardless if you're married, engaged, dating, or have a partner in crime- of any sexual preference, you're welcome to join.

Q: What does the group do?
A: Couples meet at various restaurants to sit, chat, eat, and have a good time meeting other couples.

Q: So when do we meet?
A: We usually aim for at least one meetup a month.

Q: Who comes up with the restaurants?
A: Sometimes we brainstorm the next meetup at a meetup. It's only natural when you're eating good food to talk about more good food. But any member can host a meetup and is encouraged to do so. Otherwise... there'd be no group!

Q: So.... how does it work?
It can be done in three easy steps: 1) Pick a place you'd like to invite other couples to 2) Make a reservation with the restaurant 3) Post the Meetup on the website!
If you have any questions or run into any problems, call/text Funmi at 773.387.2329

Q: I RSVPed, now what?
A: Great! Just make sure that you included your significant other in the RSVP so the numbers aren't off. While you're at it- make sure your better half is available that day. If everything looks good, then you're set. Nothing more to do than wait to meet a great group of couples.
But if for some reason plans change, please change your RSVP as soon as possible. Oftentimes a meetup will have a waiting list and another couple will be invited as soon as you decline. Nothing is uncooler than a no call, no show.

Q: What happens when the check comes?
A: It depends on the restaurant. When the group is smaller, the restaurant is usually able to split the bill for each couple. For larger parties the check may/may not be divided.
