Mermaid Parade Plus Coney Island Sunset and Evening Walk on June 22nd

Join us at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade. For those who want to do so, we can stay through sunset and into the evening. This is a J-L-J event (Join us Leave us Join us as you can). Though the parade begins at 1:00 P.M. beginning at 11:00 A.M., we will be meeting in front of the staging area street blockade/registration area at Surf Avenue and West 21st Street (see Map below).

RJ will have a 5" x 11" sign with RJAdventures.com [orange letters] Photo Walks [blue letters] and Meetup [red letters]. It will be clipped to the flap of his saddle bag camera case. He will also be wearing an orange vest, and straw hat. At night he will have a blue light stick hanging on lanyard. This event is being shared with several of RJ's Meetup groups.

To get into the staging area you will need to purchase a photo pass. Last year they were $5. This year they are $20. The tent you purchased them in was one block further west on West 21st Street. Last year the pass also allowed you to be in the reviewing area. As pictured, RJ is inside and behind the street blockade in the staging area.

Please let RJ know you are at the parade by giving him your RJAdventures Registration Ticket [see below]. Also email him your cell phone number and exchange them with each other attendee so you can stay connected. Exchanging cell phone numbers will allow late attendees to find us, and for all of us to stay in contact with each other. In some areas, such as around the rides, there is no or very limited cell phone service.

Public Transportation: Train to NYC, then Q Subway Train (http://www.nysubway.com/advisories/index.html) to Coney Island. Walk down 21st Street to Surf Avenue.
