Deadline today for the "MTRAS Prototyping badge!!!"

From: Patrick
Sent on: Sunday, June 2, 2013 10:43 AM

For anyone who missed the last meeting and haven't been to our FB or Meetup site in a while:

MTRAS is proud to present our very own MTRAS Prototyping badge!!! With this badge, all members will be able to get hands-on in the world of electronics. No more coming to meetings, empty handed, but dying to get something going.

So, whats the big deal you ask? You have the chance to own a custom prototyping platform that doubles as a name badge. You will have the opportunity to build cool projects, such as an audio amplifier, a custom high powered flash light, programmable LED smiley face, and much much more. The possibilities are endless.

Have a great idea for a project members can build? Submit it to the group with a price list of all the parts and we will vote to build it during one of our meetings. It's our hope to make every meeting a build day. The Science Center usually has a separate room available for building!

Badge Features:
-Doubles as a name badge and a custom prototyping platform.
-54x90mm Footprint specifically sized to conceal a 4xAAA Battery Pack on the back.
-4xAAA Battery Pack with On/Off Switch
-Notched sides to secure the battery via zip ties or other means.
-Rubber feet to prevent movement during prototyping.
-Lanyard cutout.
-170 Tiepoint mini breadboard.
-MTRAS Control Them Logo by Jesica Flowers (Front)
-MTRAS info and Breadboard info (Back)
-Custom laser name engraving.
-Cost - $5 each at cost!!!

Loosely based project criteria:

Keep cost below $10
Relatively easy to build
Power requirements between 0 – 9 volts
Ideally designed to be “wearable” after a finished build.

So how can you get one?

Easy! Catch me on Facebook or Meetup with your name, email address, telephone #, how many you want, what color (red, green, blue, black), and what name you want on your badge.

Deadline is June 2nd for the first run!!!
