RMKA is now a Local Club affiliate of the American Kitefliers Association. However the AKA affiliation does Not include any insurance. Our Meetups are uninsured, we are not liable for any accidents, we serve only as a contact source for all forms of Kiting, and suggest that Kiteboarders in particular take lessons, get certified, and pay for insurance. There are a few places that offer a package which includes Lessons, Certification, and Insurance for paying kiteboarders .
Meet other local Kite Enthusiasts. Meet and plan kiting events. Maintain local kiteboarding spots and keep them Legal. Find an actual Breeze blowing here in Colorado. Establish more locations in the Denver and Colorado region for traditional Kite Flying, as well as Boards and Buggies. Work with communities to promote kites, have large Festivals where we can recruit more people into Flying Kites and kiteboarding! RMKA, and Topic Talk Walks (TTW) will meet at the Country Buffet at 10:30 AM for a pay your own way "Dutch" all you can eat Brunch.
(NOTE: Before 11 AM the cost is $5.99. After 11 AM the cost doubles.)
After our Valentines Day brunch, we will go to the park for to a Topic Talk walk, and fly kites. If you wish to only attend the Kite Fly you can meet us at approximately 1PM at Stapleton Central Park. Read more
