The party will be right in the lounge area of the Streamliner Lounge and not in the private party room. The private party room only holds 40 people while the lounge can easily accomodate far more than that. The above photo only shows part of the bar side of the bar and lounge area. They will set up the lounge area with tables for us. This is a much better arrangement as we will get to enjoy the extensive railroad memorabilia decorating the lounge as well as have a better view of the platform and the trains during the party!

If you seldom attend or even if you've never attended a Rail Travel Meetup event you are still invited to attend this annual Christmas Party. This is the one event each year that all our members try their best to attend. In past years we've had as many as 75 attend this event. Since everyone is invited to bring their family and friends, this is the best event to get to meet the most members of the Rail Travel Meetup. You are welcome to bring your spouse, family and friends, but please RSVP early as the restaurant needs an accurate count as soon as possible. When you arrive you will be able to select items from a limited subset of the regular Ruby's Diner menu.

In order to encourage early RSVPs to obtain the accurate count needed by the restaurant's deadline, we are asking for a prepayment of $18 per person by December 5th. The cost after December 5th will be $23 per person. You can prepay by PayPal, Credit or Debit Card or mail a check. (If you want to pay by credit or debit card, follow the instructions of paying by PayPal. Meetup does not make it clear, but you actually do not need to have a PayPal account in order to pay with a credit or debit card. You can through PayPal with a credit or debit card without having ad without setting up a PayPal account).

You can also pay $23 at the door, but please email me at steve@trainweb.com so that I know that you will be attending and can let the restaurant know. You won't be able to RSVP YES online unless you submit your payment online.

You'll definitely be getting your money's worth at this party! Your $18 (or $23 after December 5th) payment covers appetizers, soft drink, salad, choice of main entree, tax and tip. Wine, beer and other spirits are extra and may be purchased at the bar.

The following is your choice of main entrees at the event. No need to tell us now what you want. You can just decide when you place your order!

CHEESEBURGER
The famous RubyBurger topped with your choice of double-thick slices of American, Swiss, Cheddar, Pepper Jack or low-fat American cheese! (or you can have it without the cheese or you can substitute a lean ground turkey or Gardenburger). Ruby's Classic Burgers are made with the highest quality fresh all-natural USDA Choice Beef grilled to perfection and served with fresh sliced tomato, crisp lettuce and RubySauce on a traditional or whole wheat bun.

FRESH ROAST TURKEY BREAST SANDWICH
Ruby's all-time favorite! Thick, hand-carved turkey breast slices with fresh, crisp lettce, tangy cranberry sauce and creamy mayo served on a soft RubyRoll.

SUPER-PREMIUM CHOPPED STEAK
Super-premium all-natural USDA Choice Beef smothered with sauteed fresh Portobello mushrooms in a Burgundy wine sauce served with a medley of garden vegetables and our famous Lil' Bakers with sour cream and chives.

HICKORY BOURBON CHICKEN DINNER
Grilled boneless chicken breast topped with caramelized onions and sauteed muchrooms, glazed with Hickory Bourbon BBQ sauce served with a medley of garden vegetables and our famous Lil' Bakers with sour cream and chives.

SEAFOOD COMBO
Batter-dipped golden-fried flaky cod fillets along with jumbo shrimp served with "refillable" fries.

VEGGIE TACOS
Warm whole wheat flour tortillas with fresh lettuce, cabbage, low-fat shredded cheese, vegetarian black beans, salsa and black olives.

Note: All of the above selections are from the regular Ruby's Diner Menu. In order to offerdinner selections like salmon, steak, etc., the price would be more than double and everyonewould have to be served the same banquet menu items. We have selected items from the regular menuto keep the price affordable and offer a choice of main entrees.
