So it's been a while since we've had... errr... a talk about Ruby at Ruby Ireland. This month marks a return to form as Kevin Browne from SageOne shares lessons learned from reimplementing an existing DSL in Ruby.
Sage One Payroll had a DSL to define the rules for a tax calculation. It worked. It was fast. It was implemented in Java. Could a reimplementation in Ruby hope to compete?
Also, we'll be opening the floor to anyone who wants to promote any projects or events they may like to share with people ahead of the main talk - or if you are looking for work or are looking to hire a developer.
Join us on Tuesday 15th October 2013, where the event will be sponsored by Sage One, at Engine Yard's HQ on Barrow St.
