Silicon Valley Ruby on Rails Message Board › Silicon Valley startup (eMeter!) looking for talented Ruby developer
Where can you work on challenging engineering problems while saving the planet?
Come put your talents to use where green tech meets software. Every single electric, gas and water meter in the world is being replaced by a smart meter, all linked into a Smart Grid that allows unprecedented visibility and control. eMeter is the nerve center of that Smart Grid, providing the leading software platform and applications on which modern energy companies run their businesses and engage their consumers to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and environmental benefits.
eMeter is seeking an Automation/Tools Engineer to drive the development of automation tools that will simplify and streamline the deployment and implementation of eMeter’s EnergyIP platform across various enterprise-level software systems, and who will contribute to the overall growth and success of the Deployment Services team. This is a cross-functional, dynamic and collaborative team, and this position offers tremendous opportunity and visibility.
The qualified candidate will have 4-7 years experience in fast-paced technology companies, and is capable of developing robust tools, installing, testing, and deploying complex software in UNIX, Oracle, Siebel, Tibco, and Tomcat environments. This candidate should also be comfortable creating technology solutions in partnership with customers.
The successful candidate should be professional, reliable, customer-focused and a good communicator, with an eye for detail and they must demonstrate they’re able to work independently as a self-starter who will ‘take the ball and run’.
