Friday Trail Run - Matthew Winters Park

This loop is around 6miles. It has some technical footing sections, but isn't crazily uphill like some of the other runs we have done. I'd rate it as moderate because of the rocky footing along the first half of the loop and a decent uphill around mile 3, but it has some great views of Denver. It's normally fairly hot since there's not much shade, but Friday is looking good temperature wise with a high of only 80. Directions: I-70 Westbound from the C-470 intersection. Take exit259 for Morrison and turn left so you're heading south. In 1/4 mile there's a entrance to the park on the right. My awesome Eagle Talon will be there. That parking lot is fairly small, so if you pull in and find there's no parking left, you can go just north of I70 and park in the lot there and make the short walk back down. I promise not to have to break into my own car after the run again either.

Quite interesting to ride my bike with the trail-running group. Fun times...

Thanks for clarifying to the folks at home, Pete!

I will try my hardest to make it there by 6:15 but might be 10 minutes late. I have a good-bye lunch for a co-worker that has come up unexpectedly which will delay my work exit.
