Speed Track Workout/Bootcamp/Dri­lls

Mileage runners can do the regular neighborhood loop for 3-5 miles. Bootcamp and Track Drills or Armageddon which is an upper body focused workout that will make your arms stronger which is great for runners! We can also utilize the steep parking lot to run some hills, thus we can alter or add onto what we do each week. If anyone prefers to do a tempo run the track is perfect for timing yourself on a 1 mile or 2 mile time trial to check your progress once a month. If I am not there on a Friday, then just run the loop or do the hilly parking lot repeats...or I can give the key to someone who will be there. I have a key to the track that I paid $15 for at the school, if anyone else wants to obtain a key for use of the track at other times or to have a backup key in case I am unable to attend, that might be a good plan for the group...so we can add other track workouts as needed. You can contact the gym at Newport HS or stop in during school hours.
