Give Back and Give Green!
The Sacramento Tree Foundation is a nonprofit organization leading efforts to build the best urban forest for the Sacramento region. We work with community partners and volunteers to bring trees to every neighborhood, business district, park, school and street. Our goal is to support the planting of 5 million new trees in our region by the year 2025.
We have fun tree plantings throughout Sacramento County almost every weekend, during the months of October through April. This is a great way to volunteer with your friends, family or a group while doing something positive and lasting for the Sacramento region.
Although it sometimes looks like only a few people attend a meetup, we are actually just a portion of the volunteers at each event. Sometimes there are 200 volunteers on one planting day!
Join us and Meetup with new, fun, and socially conscious people!
Help us plant native trees to support our region's canopy goals and provide vital habitat for wildlife!
This is a very special planting event and will be held at the Stone Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. Access to our new riparian oak wooldland restoration site is limited by the sensitive wildlife that uses the area. Read more
