Not just for WordPress users, this book covers security from your desktop to shared servers and on into self-managed servers. I reviewed this book (http://www.amazon.ca/product-reviews/1849512108/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt/185-6264886-3164435?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1) for Packt Publishing a few months ago and thought you all might like an overview and some useful tips and links.

The author, Olly Connelly, runs the VPS Bible (http://vpsbible.com/) for Linux newbies website and goes into great technical detail in this book. I won't get that technical. I will only focus on the basics that apply to everyone and to those who host on shared servers. The chapters on VPS (Virtual Private Server), I will only mention.

Notice this meetup is scheduled for a Thursday this time. I will be putting all my notes into a PDF so everyone can follow along without need for screen sharing, and so you can have the lnks to keep.
