Person referred me to the group
Closing on ten years now. I made a decision to live well. I figure the following are probabilities: 1) A divine entity exists, and is are just, then it would except someone who lives a good life 2) A divine entity exist, but is not just, and isn't worthy of my attention 3) No god exists, you at least made your world a better place. At that point the question of whether a god exists is not worth my time.
Social, intellectual, dinners, fun
Programmer, scientist, agnostic (not "I don't know" but "I don't care"). Not totally interested in changing others people's minds, but finding folks more like me.
So it's been over a year now, and they're a pretty fun group of people. This is really a group where you get out what you put in. There are very few group introductions if you're a completely new person (not going to a 'getting to know you' meetup), so you have put yourself out there or know someone to make introductions or be willing to come to multiple events and be a familiar face. However, once you do so you'll find a pretty intelligent group of funny, friendly and opinionated people. I actually like this group.
