John Muir: “I do not like either the word [hike] or the thing. People ought to saunter in the mountains – not ‘hike’…. these mountains are our Holy Land, and we ought to saunter through them reverently, not ‘hike’ through them.”
Hikemania's goal is to keep to the spirit of Muir's sage thoughts. Our hikes range from fast paced to easy saunters. Membership is free and open to everyone above 18. A profile photo is mandatory to join the group.
A few things to note: Safety is important to us and it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to read the event description and come prepared. Do not sign up for hikes that are above your level. No member will be bothered by any organizer here selling products or pushing any political agenda. Zero tolerance for rudeness, harassment and negative attitude towards organizers and fellow HikeManiacs. I did mention drama free, right :)
