Eisenhower Park is one of San Antonio's favorite hiking parks. It offers trails at various difficulty levels. However, we will stick primarily to the Yucca Trail (an unpaved trail) and the Cedar Flats Trail (a paved trail) on the way up, and the Cedar Flats Trail on the way down.
Our route will be about 2.2 miles, and will take us just under an hour to complete. Although some of the route is somewhat steep, it is an easily manageable route for most people and dogs, and we have had great walks here in the past.
In celebration of National Brownies at Brunch Month, I will be bringing some brownies from one of San Antonio's finest bakeries. Bringing other brunch items including beverages would only enhance this event. Bringing something is not required.
Distance: 2.2 miles
Time: 1 hour
Temperature: High 70s/Low 80s
Conditions: TBA
Walk Difficulty: Moderate
Walk Traffic: Low. No bikes are allowed in this park
Goal: Tower at the end of the Cedar Flats Trail, which provides a great view of San Antonio.
Leash Rules: All dogs should be on a leash. All leashes should be 6 feet or shorter.
Brodie and I look forward to seeing you!
