Salado Creek Greenway @ Jack White Trailhead

Let's try out the new greenway trail near Splashtown! The trail is all pavement and heads southeast along Salado Creek from IH 35. It doesn't connect to Commanche Park yet, but it does extend for over 6 miles in one direction. This will be an "out & back" so the distance can be tailored to your personal preference. The address may NOT take you to the park when googled or mapquested, so follow these directions.

If heading north on 35 (from the downtown area) take the Splashtown exit. Take the first left under the bridge (before the creek). Proceed to the 2nd stop sign. Turn right onto Seguin Road. Proceed north 2/10ths of a mile and watch for the parking lot entrance on the left.

If going south on IH 35, take exit 163 (Brooke Army Medical Center). Proceed south ON THE ACCESS ROAD for 1.1 miles (you will go straight, through a traffic light at Binz Engleman). Turn right imediately after crossing Salado Creeek, then turn right onto Seguin Road. Proceed north 2/10ths of a mile and watch for the parking lot entrance on the left.
