Title: Human Needs are a Bridge to Peace: An Experience of NVC

Date: Saturday, 4/24 3:00 to 5:00

Location: [masked]nd Ave Apt D San Diego, CA 92101 (Contact phone:[masked])

Description: NVC has allowed me to connect compassionately with myself, live my deepest values, and be in compassionate connection to others. It?s a language of relationship and a worldview that facilitates peace between people.

The cornerstone of this communication model are human ?needs? which are defined as life energy that motivates everything we do, say, or think. Examples are safety, autonomy, love, consideration, inspiration, and empathy.

When we connect with others at the need-level and bring our life energies together, we step onto the path toward peace and compassionate living.

You are invited to share an afternoon experience of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). The basics of the model will be shared with an emphasis on how an awareness of human needs contribute to peace in all facets of life. There will be puppets, playfulness, and learning!

We?ll gather at 3:00 and begin the experience at 3:30. The setting has indoor and outdoor space to allow us to enjoy the spring weather while we experience this powerful way of looking at the world.
