Hi Larry,
I've seen Hiroma in LA but would love to see her again so I'm in!  Thank you keeping the Jazz group going. I've noticed I'm still listed as an assistant, so I guess I should do some assisting.

In addition to the concerts, maybe the group needs to create little niche events, for instance, I would be interested in creating eclectic jazz events (an event that may not be a concert but it touches on jazz in some way) for singles 40+ once a month or so and I noticed one of the members started a Meetup for young jazz buffs so instead of having two groups, pool resources together and offer these special interest events in one group. Or maybe someone would like to create Jazz Adventures in LA or hikes for jazz enthusiasts, whatever, there is so many possibilities. So, if anyone is interested in the jazz singles 40+ or jazz hikers (maybe we can have wine & cheese after the hike), let me know.

Jen.

Hi SD Jazz Lovers,

I am on a mission to get Hiromi to play in San Diego. She is quite a performer (pianist) and is getting to the point where she is playing larger venues, and the occasional smaller ones. If you have never seen or heard her perform, check this out for the sheer joy and skills she brings to jazz:

By coincidence, Ahmad Jamal, who just played at Anthology this week, and Hiromi both have the same management company. I've written to her management, and would like to get them interested in having Hiromi play here when she is on tour and in LA next June.

If there were a meetup at Anthology to see Hiromi play mid-next year, would you be interested in attending? I want to give the final numbers to Hiromi's management. Thanks for your time, everyone.

Please go to: http://jazz.meetup.com/105/polls/107426/ and vote now.

Thanks again...
