It was an amazing event - was worth every mile coming from San Francisco to Santa Cruz.

Great event SCNTMU team. Might have exceeded critical mass by a slight margin. Nice problem.

Great job to the team and Doug for hosting another amazing meetup. Looking forward to March and I'll definitely arrive earlier so I can grab a seat :) Happy birthday Doug!!

Great job. I plan to be there in March. I was impressed by the group... lots of interesting folks. Please tighten up the agenda as it went a little long. Loved the entertainment but 45 minutes was a bit much.

  • Jim H.

Excellent, except for having too many people attending for the space.

Amazing community. Thank you to everyone!

Doug, thank YOU for putting this on. I got there early and it was great. I'm sorry some people got turned away or had to stand the whole time, but the presentations were great. Thanks again to you and all of your helpers.

Great first experience. I'll be back. Maybe a tighter start schedule?

Doug and crew you did a great job. Start time said 6:15 and we knew it would fill up fast. If you didn't show up on time and it was crowded well next time come earlier.

I thought it was an outstanding event! Great speakers. There were lots of people talking about some very interesting projects. I'll definitely be back! Thank you for putting this together.

    Great information and well organized.

There needs to be either more chairs and space or a list of who registered for the event for verification. Had to leave.

    February 5, 2014

    • Doug E.

My apologies Frank. We will be better prepared next time for the huge turnout.

    Overpacked, locked doors, not advisable

    February 5, 2014

    • Doug E.

My apologies for the problem. We realize that some registrants were turned away, and we are working with Cruzio to prevent this from happening again. It is likely that we will cap attendance. If registrants do not sign in by 6:45, those on the Waiting List will be allowed in as substitution.

Great speakers tonight! What a turn out. Definitely worth staying til the end for the networking. Looking forward to the next SC tech meetup!

reading some of the other comments I wish I had gotten there earlier. I arrived around 6:30 and it was packed. It was so full that it was too hard to do any significant networking which was my primary reason for attending the event. Still pretty cool to see how much is innovated here in Santa Cruz.

I am not necessarily a tech person. Although one could say that fermentation is nature's original technology. I am looking for investors who may be interested in supporting a start up that has real traction in the market place and can offer an incredibly unique opportunity in the booming probiotic drinks market. Wondering if it is worthwhile for this foodie to come to a techie meet up? Anyone passionate about sustainable business practices with huge $ potential?

January meeting was quite interesting thanks, looking forward to Feb.
