We have built global business leadership in agriculture, sports, entertainment, education, and technologies. Our environmental stewardship reaches to the tops of our redwood forests, and to the depths of the Monterey Bay. And our social leaders leverage our cultures, people, and technologies to welcome equality and sustainability solutions to our shores.
Join us for an evening of inspiration with guest speakers: Nina Simon (http://www.santacruzmah.org/about/) with the Santa Cruz Museum of Art, and Ryan Coonerty (http://www.co.santa-cruz.ca.us/government/boardofsupervisors/district3.aspx) 3rd District Supervisor County of Santa Cruz. Followed by a pitch contest where 6 visionary tech companies will present their solutions for social and environmental issues to 5 VCs.

• Santa Cruz Habitat - helping seniors boost their income by building a granny unit
• Ruly - a digital photo concierge service that solves the consumer problem of digital photo overload, while creating tech jobs for women living in poverty.
• Biofuel - a genetically-engineered organism that consumes plant-waste material and produces clean-burning butanol, which works without modification in existing vehicles and energy infrastructure.
• Rising - reducing poverty by using a proven network commercial model: Avon, Tupperware
• Housing First - a solution for helping vets who need housing - without public funds
• Civinomics - a unique platform to build a more vibrant democracy
