DANM (http://danmmfa.ucsc.edu/) - Benjamin Spalding of UCSC's Digital Arts and New Media program will discuss Blind Spot: Thirteen artists are creating and iterating within realms not easily decipherable and detected in the conventional art world. Each artist has worked in the critical spaces of game design, performance, post cinematic space, scientific theory, economic systems, or interactive media to resist and expand long-established, canonical meanings of art.

HACK USCS 2016 Projects

• Watergate - Zachary Rubin and Hack UCSC 2016 team will present their winning project for the Calliope (http://calliopewater.com/)Award. This solution will decrease use of precious water, save homes from destructive water damage, and make automatic leak detection and stoppage affordable to agriculture.

• SC Drift - Aiden Mcclelland and Hack UCSC 2016 team will present their winning entry for the Inboard (http://www.inboardskate.com/) Award. This product rates and scores your style and cool moves on the Inboard electric skateboard.

• Contractr - Shuai Zhu and team from Hack UCSC 2016 will show us their app for contractors that make finding and executing jobs easy.

Learn about hot new technologies and mingle with 250+ fellow entrepreneurs, investors, bloggers, and tech enthusiasts.
