Welcome to the Bay Area Bellydance Meetup! We welcome local San Jose, San Francisco, Bay Area, California, National and International belly dancers and enthusiasts.

Come to a Meetup and share the joy of belly dancing (Raqs Sharqi or Oryantal dansi if you prefer) and learn about costumes and veils, shows, dancers, classes, teachers, styles and more!
Each month, we will be hosting a Main MeetUp that may feature dance opportunities, movies, CD swaps, vendors, picnics, outings, and more.
This group is not affiliated with any one studio, region or style of bellydance. We (are all volunteers that) have fun and bring together all bellydancers & enthusiasts to learn and experience the true meaning of this beautiful dance!
Teachers and dancers are welcome to post performance dates, classes, and other events on the message boards. If you are a dancer/drummer or strict drummer, check out the new Bay Area Drum Circle Meetup - lots of great things happening there.
