Welcome to SCMF Eclectic Cinema- a spinoff of the LA movie Meetup group SoCal Movie Fanatics. Our group is dedicated to experiencing films that are categorized outside the boundaries of mainstream cinema.
Our group was featured on the Reelz Channel program "Secret's Out" in July 2008. Check out our appearance on our About Us page!
Our events cover indie/arthouse films, classic Hollywood cinema (these films were meant to be seen in THEATRES - not on TCM!), foreign film, documentaries, film festivals, cult/B-movies and avant-garde works of cinema.

This is the 70th Anniversary High Definition version of "The Wizard of Oz" at the Cinerama Dome. Need I say more?
To me, there is no other movie moment like that magical moment "The Wizard of Oz" turns from black and white to color. That moment is a pure movie magic to me. I never feel like I am watching a movie. I always feel like I am IN the movie. Read more
