Evening Walk: Dunmore Hill, Fintry

The Walk

This is the last evening walk this summer as it is definitely autumn now. This wee hill sits at the back of the lovely village of Fintry. It is described as a good short walk up from the village and has an interesting crag and a rocky knoll, the site of an old hill fort. We will walk as a group at an easy to moderate pace.

Cars can be parked on the Main Street itself.

Ascent: 1050 ft

Estimated finish time: Approx 8:30 pm

Clothing & Equipment

You must ensure that you come adequately prepared for this walk.

You will need walking boots, waterproofs and some warm clothes. You should also bring a headtorch in case we get caught out by sunset! It's also nice to have a wee bit of food with you too :-)

Please don't forget to bring a map with a note of the route description and a compass.

If the weather looks really bad, the walk may be cancelled. A decision will be made the evening before the walk.

Lifts / Meetup Time

Unfortunately it is not practical to meet in Glasgow to sort car sharing for these walks due to time constraints.

Car sharing should be organised amongst yourselves using the comments at the bottom of this Meetup page and we will meet at the start of the walk.
